Because access matters, this morning event is an opportunity for Chamber members to meet and network with the region’s elected officials from various communities and offices in Lucas, Wood, and Fulton counties, as well as state legislators from across Ohio. The networking-only, "no-speeches" format provides a great opportunity for Chamber members to ask questions and seek answers from the invited elected officials.

Attendees of this event will enjoy coffee, a light breakfast and networking in the Centennial Room at The Toledo Club, located at 235 14th Street in Downtown Toledo. The Toledo SBDC Business Blueprint class is tailored for aspiring entrepreneurs who need guidance in launching their business. This interactive session offers a clear overview of critical startup steps including how to create a business plan, navigate licensing and local regulations, and develop effective marketing strategies. It also covers essential financial topics such as understanding financial statements, managing cash flow, preparing for funding opportunities, and identifying valuable business resources to support long-term success.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers one on one no-cost counseling to entrepreneurs in all stages of their business cycle, whether they are beginning their business endeavors or are looking to grow their existing operations. The SBDC provides one-on-one counseling centered on the business planning process, including financing, market research, marketing strategies, and management and cash flow analysis. A Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce membership is not required to utilize these services.

Green Drinks Returns to Toledo in 2026 with Sustainability Networking Series

Free community events bring together environmental leaders, professionals, and residents passionate about sustainability

TOLEDO, OH – February 17, 2026 – Green Drinks returns for 2026, beginning this Tuesday, February 17, with an informal sustainability networking event at Earnest Brew Works Westgate. Hosted by Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful in partnership with the Lucas County Sustainability Commission, the gathering invites environmentally minded residents, professionals, students, and community leaders to connect, share ideas, and get inspired to make a difference locally.

Green Drinks events provide a welcoming space for people interested in environmental stewardship, community resilience, and sustainable living to meet in a relaxed, social setting.

“Green Drinks is about building connections and energy around sustainability in our community,” said Adam Cassi, Executive Director of Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful. “Through our partnership with the Lucas County Sustainability Commission, we’re bringing together residents, organizations, and leaders who care about creating a more sustainable future for Lucas County.”

The February gathering is the first of five Green Drinks events planned across Lucas County in 2026. Events are typically held the third Tuesday every other month from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at rotating local venues.

Green Drinks is part of a global movement that began in London in 1989 and now takes place in hundreds of cities worldwide.

Attendees can expect:

Networking with local sustainability leaders and organizations
Conversations about environmental initiatives in Northwest Ohio
Connections to volunteer and community opportunities
A casual, inclusive atmosphere welcoming all experience levels

J.R. joined Savage and Associates in 1984. Before being named President and CEO, he focused on his role as Financial Professional, assisting small business owners and corporate executives in securing comfortable retirement plans. In that capacity, he also designed tax-efficient business succession plans and executive benefit plans that helped companies attract and retain the best and brightest people.

J.R. is actively involved in several community causes. Having coached youth football teams since the early 2000s, he has positively impacted hundreds of players' lives.
