ABOUT THE EVENT: Join us at the Huntington Center on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 12:00p.m. to cheer on both teams as the Toledo Walleye take on our Toledo Walleye Sled Hockey Team. This unique game features players using hockey sleds and following rules similar to those of stand-up hockey. While the game is a highlight, the event also serves as a vital fundraising opportunity for our Toledo sled hockey program, raising funds through silent auctions and sponsorships. By attending, you'll be helping to raise awareness of our mission and directly supporting the athletes we serve.

ABOUT SLED HOCKEY: Sled Hockey is for individuals with physical disabilities and is played similar to typical hockey. Sled Hockey players use “sleds” which consist of metal frames to support the legs, a bucket for sitting and blades underneath for skating. Players use hockey sticks 1/3 in size with picks at the end to propel themselves across the ice.

ABOUT ADAPTIVE SPORTS OHIO: Adaptive Sports Ohio is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization established to remove barriers to ensure that individuals with physical disabilities have a chance to play, and utilize sport to elevate ability and empower futures. Founded in Wooster in 2009, Adaptive Sports Ohio is now the largest organization in Ohio offering community-based and interscholastic adaptive sport opportunities to individuals with disabilities.

Gain the knowledge you need to kick-start your business venture. Led by the Small Business Development Services team, this event provides insight into choosing the right entity as well as preparation when it comes to start-up mistakes and operations.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers assistance to entrepreneurs in all stages of their business cycle, whether they are beginning their business endeavor or are looking to grow their existing operation. The SBDC provides one-on-one counseling centered on the business planning process, including financing, market research, marketing strategies, and management and cash flow analysis. A Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce membership is not required to utilize these services.

The Minority Business Assistance Center will be teaching an 8 week cohort. The cohort will meet weekly on Wednesdays for 8 weeks with the first session being an introduction session and the last session being a networking event. It is mandatory that you attend 85% of the course.

Cohort 3: February 26th - April 16th 2025

The third cohort will be held at The Junction located at 419 Junction Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43607 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. There is street parking available at no cost for this event.

The "Art of Scaling Up Business" class is designed to guide you through the intricacies of expanding an existing business. By incorporating new revenue streams, this course aims to maximize your expansion efforts and boost net profits.

EPIC Toledo is hosting its February social at Toledo Pickle Co., Toledo's hot new entertainment facility.

Join us for an evening of pickleball play, arcade games, a full restaurant and bar, ping pong, rock climbing, and more!

Check in for the event is 5:30 pm - 6 pm, where you can tour the facility and head over to EPIC's reserved area. Pickleball gameplay on our two reserved courts is 6 pm - 8 pm.

If you have your own pickleball equipment, it is encouraged you bring it. Otherwise, paddles and balls will be available to rent. Tennis shoes are required for the courts, and please be respectful to dry your shoes off in the event of rain or snow!

Light snacks will be provided. More food and beverages are available for purchase.
