Mosaic Butterfly Community Collaboration Day

Franklin Park Mall is celebrating International Year of Glass and you’re invited to be part of it.  

The UN designated 2022 as the International Year of Glass and Franklin Park Mall is commemorating this honor with a special glass art installation!  "Butterflies of Northwest Ohio" an art installation featuring 15 larger than life glass mosaic butterflies, is being created to hang from the iconic center court skylight. Members of the Community can help create this amazing work of art in a community collaboration project. Join in the fun on August 27th when artist Gail Christofferson will bring four of the butterflies (Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Monarch, Red Spotted Purple, and Mourning Cloak) to the mall to be built by our community ... FOR our community! Families will enjoy live entertainment, butterfly selfie stations, foam mosaic butterfly craft and coloring stations for the kids, and a chance to place glass into the mosaic butterflies.

Butterfly selfie station. Attendees can choose to be an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Monarch or Common Buckeye! Pose for a picture in our butterfly selfie station and tag the mall to be featured on Franklin Park Mall social media
