Toledo Spirits Company: Vistula Single Malt American Whiskey Release

Vistula Single Malt American Whiskey Release

Our highly anticipated Vistula Whiskey goes on sale starting Sunday, January 30th at 4PM.

Vistula American Single Malt Whiskey, Toledo Spirits Company’s latest release, pays homage to the historic Vistula neighborhood. Named for Toledo’s oldest neighborhood, and where Toledo Spirits Company is headquartered, Vistula is a limited release single malt whiskey that celebrates the region’s rich history and the passion and ingenuity of its founders.

“By the 1830s, Vistula embodied the spirit of boldness of the people migrating West to seek fortune and opportunity,” says Andrew Newby, CEO and co-founder of Toledo Spirits Company. “Almost 200 years later, our Vistula American Single Malt Whiskey celebrates the patience and tenacity of our immigrant forefathers.”

“Vistula American Single Malt Whiskey is carefully distilled and aged over 4 years on the banks of the Maumee River in Bourbon and Rye casks, then finished in Pinot Noir barrels,” says Lukas Kummer, head distiller and co-founder of Toledo Spirits Company. “Vistula is warm and inviting. The nose is fruity, with notes of raisin and caramel. The first sip starts honeyed, light, and smooth then develops into dark roasted and bold flavors with a touch of spice. It finishes with just enough herbal fruity sweetness to balance the inherent dryness.”
