Sydney is passionate about supporting children’s initiatives, working with a variety of community organizations to promote education and well-being for children. As such, she serves as a board member and the Secretary for the Designetics Cares Foundation, as well as a board and committee member for St. Francis de Sales, board member and Chair of the Development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Toledo, Historic South Initiative, and Chairman of the Board of the Toledo Classic. She is a Co-Founder and President of Care for Kids and National Care for Kids Day, focused on charting a new course for collaborative giving and maximizing change in our community.
Sydney’s education is varied. Her undergraduate degree is from The Ohio State University in Ceramics and Art History. She has an EMBA from the University of Toledo and a master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Phoenix in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Sydney’s personal interests include art, art history, and the outdoors. She is particularly interested in the art of the American West and spending time outside in the mountains or riding horses. She is a member of the Toledo Potters Guild and enjoys throwing in her spare time.
