2012 EPIC Unplugged Series Presented By Buckeye CableSystem - Best practices in business: Going Green at Health Care REIT from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. There is absolutely no tobacco allowed on the premises. Also, you will be directed to park at the North parking lot upon arrival. EPIC Toledo Unplugged Series Presented By Buckeye CableSystem will highlight excellent solutions that can help make business greener. Businesses on all level from 1 to 10,000 employees are developing many ways to improve your energy efficiency and contribute to a more healthy environment. From turning off unused lights, buying energy efficient equipment and buying local goods, there are many low-risk, high-return energy efficient improvements that can be made to integrate a green model into business. Green Business is still a relatively new, but rapidly growing concept in the Toledo Market. It used to be thought that being green is expensive, but changes in regulation, agreements and customer expectations have led businesses on all scale to innovate and seek economical solutions to green concerns, especially in the Toledo area. The EPIC Unplugged Series Presented By Buckeye CableSystem's first event will highlight local efforts in the business community which seek to maximize sustainability and allow companies to act green. The event will be hosted on January 26th beginning at 5:30 at the Health Care REIT headquarters (4500 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH 43615) which is one of only three platinum LEED certified buildings in the United States. The LEED certification program is the standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings in the United States. A panel of innovative business professionals in corporate sustainability, architecture and green entrepreneurship will field questions and discuss how they are successfully integrating green practices into their businesses. No cost to attend. Please register if you can attend.
