Event Description:

Why should you be on a board?  What are the commitments?  What will you gain from sitting on a board?  How do you get involved?

All these questions and more will be answered at EPIC UnPlugged: Get On Board - Your Guide to Non-Profit Board Leadership!

The evening will start off with Megan Meyer from the Toledo Community Foundation giving the how to's of being on a board.  After that we will hear from our panelists.

Our panelists include:

John Jones - President and CEO of the Greater Toledo Urban League will be sharing the side of being the president and CEO of a non-profit and what he looks for in a board member when he is recruting them.

Betsy Brady - Vice President of Plastic Technologies.  Betsy is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Toledo Museum of Art.

Jim Walrod - Current EPIC Chairman will speak about his involvement with multiple boards and how he juggles a full-time job, EPIC, multiple boards and a new family.

Bob Monard - Assistant Controller at The Hylant Group will speak on his uber-involvement with Assistance Dogs of America.

No cost to attend.  EPIC Toledo members only!
