Family Fun Day: An Accessible, Family-Friendly Celebration at The Ability Center

Sylvania, Ohio — September 4, 2025 — The Ability Center invites families from across Northwest Ohio to Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 6, a free, accessible, and inclusive community celebration geared toward children 12 and under but welcoming the whole family. This event is proudly sponsored in part by the Toledo Mud Hens Helping Hens Fund.

“Family Fun Day is about joyful, barrier-free play,” said Jennifer Engelmann, Youth Family Services Coordinator. “We design every activity so that kids with or without disabilities can participate and families can make memories together.”

What to Expect

Food: Beef hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones
Inflatables: Bounce houses, inflatable dart board, and giant igloo
Games: Classic carnival games and video game challenges
Crafts: Creative stations with take-home masterpieces
Glow Room: Sensory-friendly light experience
Adaptive Sports: Inclusive activities for beginners and seasoned athletes

MMP is proud to partner with H.O.O.V.E.S. and other local businesses and community members for a day of golf, giving back, and honoring our nation’s heroes.

This event offers golfers of ALL skill levels a chance to enjoy a day on the course while raising critical funds for the Veteran Healing Intensive Program, which is provided at no cost to veterans and their families. Golfers will enjoy a four-person scramble format, contests, a buffet lunch, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and networking opportunities.
