Jeffrey L. Williams SYLVANIA, OH - Lourdes University President Mary Ann Gawelek is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Lewis Williams as Lourdes University’s new Vice President for Finance & Administration. At the University, Mr. Williams’ portfolio will include the business office, information technology, administrative services, facilities and grounds, security, bookstore, and human resources. He will assume his duties on August 31, 2018. With more than a decade of executive finance experience, Mr. Williams previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration at Capitol Technology University in Maryland. In that position, he secured $20 million in capital funding for a residence hall construction project, created a 501(c)(3) Foundation, and improved operating profitability through strategic investment in, and partnership with the Admissions and Academic departments. He has worked in the education sector in the U.S. and abroad, having served as the COO and CFO for Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod (LCMS) Concordia School in Hanoi, Vietnam where he initiated the successful financial start-up operations of the K-12 international school. As CFO and Senior Vice President of LCMS Concordia University in Michigan, he significantly reduced operating expenses while increasing operational efficiencies. He has served as an Evaluation Team Member and Chair of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and a Scholarship Committee Member of the Metropolitan Washington DC chapter of American Mensa. “I look forward to working with President Gawelek, Lourdes University Board of Trustees, and the Administration as we continue transforming and strengthening the institution. Mr. Williams earned a Master of Public Administration degree in Finance from Eastern Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English Literature at The University of Michigan. He received his executive education from the Cornell University Administration Management Institute, and earned a full fellowship for the Harvard Business School Effective Management of Non-Profit Organizations program. Mr. Williams also completed The Oxford Finance Programme for Senior Executives at the University of Oxford, Sa?d Business School.
