Walbridge, Ohio (February 13, 2018) – Rudolph Libbe Inc., of the Rudolph Libbe Group, has received Varco Pruden’s 2018 Best-in-Class Hall of Fame Award in the Warehouse Category for Principle Business Enterprises’ 47,000-square-foot warehouse, constructed in 2017. Rudolph Libbe Inc. was general contractor/construction manager and GEM Inc., also of the Rudolph Libbe Group, erected the Varco Pruden pre-engineered steel building. MacPherson Architects, Inc. designed the Principal Business Enterprises warehouse project. Rudolph Libbe also received 2018 Hall of Fame awards for the Buck & Knobby Equipment Company dealership in Holland, Ohio and the Yark BMW showroom in west Toledo. Buck & Knobby Equipment Co. In 2016, Buck & Knobby Equipment Co. built its first Ohio dealership in Holland, marking a return to the Toledo area more than 30 years after relocating its headquarters to Ottawa Lake, Michigan. The 6,000-square-foot JCB dealership includes a showroom, sales and administrative offices, parts department and six-bay service shop. Rudolph Libbe Inc. was design-build contractor. Rudolph Libbe and GEM Inc. craftspeople performed site work, concrete, masonry, carpentry and erected the Varco Pruden pre-engineered steel building. Vetter Design Group served as architect. Construction was completed within six months in 2016. Buck & Knobby’s new location rents and sells JCB backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, telehandlers, skid steers and compact track loaders. Yark BMW The Rudolph Libbe Group constructed a new 33,815-square-foot BMW dealership for Yark Automotive Group in Sylvania Township. The building included a new showroom, sales department, offices, service area, parts mezzanine, car wash and a parking lot. The finished facility is unique, with one half a conventional steel all-glass showroom, and the other half a Varco-Pruden pre-engineered steel building that houses the service area. The showroom required underground ductwork to accommodate BMW’s desire for the highest ceilings possible. Yark BMW hosted its grand opening in March 2017. Rudolph Libbe Inc. performed site work, concrete, masonry and carpentry, and GEM Inc. installed the building’s mechanical systems.
