The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce applauds the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Review Advisory Council’s (TRAC) decision to commit $18 million for construction of an interchange at I-475 and Dorr Street. The additional interchange is a critical component to the long-term economic development success of the Toledo region. The new interchange will provide improved access to the existing businesses and the University of Toledo, increase the potential for new development along the corridor, and increase the ability to retain existing businesses. This continued investment in our region’s transportation infrastructure by TRAC will send a clear message to current and prospective businesses that the Toledo region is the right location for them. The new interchange is scheduled to be completed prior to Inverness Club hosting the 2021 Solheim Cup. The Chamber has worked with TRAC and other state officials to secure funding and will continue to work with local and state officials to successfully complete the project.
