WHAT: Community members are invited to join Owens students, staff and faculty and step up to serve as volunteers on the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Volunteers will be providing cleaning service either at Cherry Street Mission or Bethany House. Jan. 8-31, there will be labeled donation boxes throughout Owens Toledo-area Campus for the collection of cleaning supplies, which will be divided between the two shelters. The annual event honors Dr. King’s legacy and is an opportunity for Americans to renew their own personal vows of citizenship through service to others.
