(October 5, 2017) - Technology’s profound impact on the manufacturing industry is changing the way businesses operate, and the changes have only just begun. Experts look at the tech impact of today: how big data and robotics are already transforming the industry. They’ll also look ahead. What exactly is blockchain and what might it mean for manufacturing? “Manufacturers: Prepare for Disruption” is a presentation scheduled for Thursday, October 19 in both Maumee and Findlay. The events are from 11:30 am-1 pm at Findlay Country Club at 1500 Country Club Drive in Findlay and from 3-5 pm the same day at Brandywine Country Club at 6904 Salisbury Road in Maumee. Jay Schulman, Principal and Great Lakes Leader for Security and Privacy with RSM US LLP, leads a discussion about the technology disruption. GJM is a member of the RSM US Alliance. William Sawaya, Ph.D., an Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University College of Business will also present. Professor Sawaya explores the tech impact manufacturing is already seeing and the potential game-changing advances that could be on the horizon.
