Toledo, OH: Physio Orthotics & Prosthetics, located at 3148 West Central in Toledo, OH, is pleased to announce that its name has changed to NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics. Physio Orthotics & Prosthetics has been part of the Toledo community for more than 50 years and was previously part of Physiotherapy Associates, a leading national provider of outpatient physical and occupational rehabilitation and prosthetic and orthotic services. Physio had a national footprint of 560 centers in 28 states. In February 2016, Select Medical Holdings Corporation of Mechanicsburg, PA, purchased Physiotherapy Associates. NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics is part of the Select Medical Outpatient Division family of brands. Changing the name of Physio Orthotics & Prosthetics to NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics aligns two organizations that share the same commitment to provide patients with exceptional clinical expertise and customer service. “We are excited to join the NovaCare team and committed to continue bringing the best in prosthetics, orthotics and physical rehabilitation to the Toledo community,” said Mr. Ben Hammond, C.P., L.P., center manager. “Our center will continue to offer progressive and compassionate care in our prosthetic and orthotic services provided by ABC certified clinicians, as well as physical therapy services, including orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, spine rehabilitation, amputee pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, wound care and work health programs.” “We are the only prosthetics and orthotics provider in the Toledo community that is conveniently located adjacent to NovaCare Rehabilitation. Being part of the same company as NovaCare Rehabilitation, we provide the unique advantage of partnership with our physical and occupational therapists to meet our patients’ needs and provide complete coordinated care and progressive fitting protocols. We will also continue to support our local hospitals through their educational programs and the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team.” While the signs on the doors will change, our physical location and telephone number will remain the same. The same clinicians and staff – Mr. Hammond C.P., L.P., Multisite Manager, Mr. Robert Seale, C.O., L.O., Ms. Angela Kanavel, CPO, LPO, Ms. Casey Calvert, orthotic resident, Charlie Wooten, PTA, Adam Silbaugh, prosthetic technician, and patient service specialists Ms. Laurie Joyner and Ms. Amanda Joyner – will also continue to provide exceptional customer service and rehabilitation care with the passion our patients have come to expect. The Toledo center will also continue to accept most major insurance plans, including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Workers’ Compensation. “We look forward to continuing to care for our patients in our same convenient location while welcoming new patients under our new name,” said Mr. Hammond. “Beginning with each patient’s first visit, they have our commitment that we will be their partner for life. Providing care in a healing and positive environment is something we are passionate about and ensure for all who are referred to us and choose us for care.” Photos from the NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics Open House last week: For more information, please contact Ben Hammond at 419.472.8910.
