Kroger Products, Center Store and Produce, Focus of Latest Price Cuts WESTERVILLE, OH (May 31, 2017) — Customers in Kroger’s Columbus Division of stores can now take advantage of the largest one-year price investment in the company’s history. The multi-million dollar investment is designed to provide customers with more for their grocery dollar, including savings on high-quality, affordable Kroger-brand products. Kroger, the country’s largest traditional grocer, offers customers thousands of private label products under more than 25 corporate brands, including Kroger, Simple Truth and Private Selection. Nearly 2,000 of these items were selected for price cuts, including these popular products: “Kroger products provide our customers with affordable options they can’t get anywhere else,” said Kroger Columbus Division Vice President of Merchandising Mike Murphy. “Our customers know that they aren’t sacrificing quality when they purchase a Kroger product. Not only are they valuable options for customers, but many items, including soft drinks, salad dressings, bread and milk are produced and manufactured right here in Ohio.” Kroger also intensified price reductions on hundreds of key national brand items in nearly every department, including grocery, natural foods, health and beauty care and general merchandise. Using customer insights, Kroger was able to focus on the most relevant items to shoppers. Knowing that produce is a key determinant in where customers choose to shop, Kroger lowered the everyday retail on select fresh produce items, including varieties of onions, avocadoes, berries and green beans. Customers who shop at Kroger with their Plus Card can maximize their savings by taking advantage of hundreds of digital coupons available on both www.kroger.com and the Kroger app, including the popular Free Friday Download. In addition to highly competitive weekly specials, Kroger offers customers personalized offers and 10 cents off a gallon of gas for every $100 in qualifying purchases.
