Customers are invited to celebrate the completion of the extensive remodel with a ribbon cutting, product sampling and entertainment for children on Wednesday, May 24. The 52,649 square-foot store remained open for customer convenience during the nearly five-month renovation. As part of the remodel, the store’s deli was expanded to include a gourmet cheese and olive shop, fresh chef-prepared sushi and an extensive selection of made-to-order offerings, including chicken and sandwiches. The $2.2 million project also allowed for enhancements in the store’s bakery, where customers can select from multiple varieties of fresh pastries. In an effort to improve the customer shopping experience, the décor was updated throughout the store. New shelves, bins and cases accommodate a larger assortment of high-quality cuts of meat and fresh produce. Customers who shop the remodeled location will also take notice of the enhanced selection of fine wines and craft beer. “We welcome shoppers to experience what the newly remodeled store has to offer,” said Port Clinton Kroger store leader Stu Barton. “Our team is committed to providing friendly service in an updated store merchandised to better serve our customers’ needs.” Members of the media are welcome to join Kroger associates, elected officials and community leaders for a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on May 24.
