FUSIAN 100% of opening day proceeds to benefit Toledo GROWs Toledo, Ohio — Ohio-based FUSIAN will be opening the doors of their first Toledo location at 3504 Secor Road on March 1st in a 1,796 sq ft. space at the newly constructed Secor Square. Founded in Cincinnati in 2010 by brothers Zach and Josh Weprin and childhood friend Stephan Harman, this innovative fast-casual restaurant concept serves Japanese-inspired cuisine crafted with simple, healthy, and wholesome ingredients, sourced from responsible suppliers, and prepared fresh in house daily. The company, which is independently owned, has grown from one outpost in downtown Cincinnati to 11 locations throughout Ohio over the last seven years. “Toledo is prime for progressive dining options” said co-founder and CEO, Zach Weprin. “We have a vision to build FUSIAN with Ohio roots stemming from Ohio values. Toledo has long been on our radar and we feel we have not only great real estate, but a great team to help us execute our vision.” FUSIAN is best known as a destination where discerning diners can create customized sushi rolls with both traditional and modern ingredients like raw tuna and roasted chicken. Guests visiting the Toledo location will experience FUSIAN in a new way with the additional option to enjoy FUSIAN Inspired Bowls. These bowls, piloted first at FUSIAN Grandview Test Kitchen, offer guests additional options to fit an array of dietary preferences and flavor profiles. Guided by the belief that a company can only be as successful as the communities they serve, the team at FUSIAN has focused efforts to make meaningful connections with their neighbors in Toledo. Included in this endeavor is a “Neighborhood day” where neighbors who have preregistered at Toledo.fusian.com can reserve a spot to get a sneak peek (and taste) before the doors open to the public. Also in the spirit of community building, the brand has partnered with local non-profit, Toledo GROWs, which will use 100% of opening day proceeds to fund their community garden efforts. “We couldn’t be more excited to have found a partner like Toledo GROWs. Their mission to promote a healthy lifestyle by providing opportunities for individuals to learn about growing and eating health food is spot on with our beliefs about food and nutrition” said co-founder, Stephan Harman. The restaurant will be open daily from 11a.m. to 10p.m. The menu includes 10 piece Maki rolls ranging in price from $7.25-$9.00, Inspired Bowls ranging in price from $10.50-$12.00, fresh sides, salads, and house-made [re]fresh™ beverages. Dietary considerations (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc.) are accommodated by all means possible. Learn more at Toledo.fusian.com.
