Grand Reopening of Oregon, Alexis Road Stores Planned for Wednesday, Feb. 8 WESTERVILLE, OH (Feb. 6, 2017) — The Kroger Co. is pleased to announce the grand reopening of its stores at 3301 Navarre Ave. in Oregon, and 833 W. Alexis Rd. in Toledo. Both stores underwent extensive renovations to improve the customer shopping experience. The stores remained open to customers throughout the process. Nearly $15 million was invested in the Oregon store to allow for the approximately 20,000 square-foot expansion. The expanded store features a Starbucks® kiosk, a Murray’s Cheese Shop, and Kroger’s exclusive online ordering service, ClickList™. Customers will notice the grocery and perishable areas of the store were transformed with few new finishes, millwork and vibrant décor. Pharmacy customers can now take advantage of a parking-lot kiosk for convenient prescription drop off and pick up. Kroger invested nearly $3 million in improving the Toledo store, with the addition of The Little Clinic, where board certified nurse practitioners can diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for common illnesses. Additionally, ClickList™ is now available to customers who prefer to shop for their groceries online. The expanded deli now provides customers with made-to-order options, including chicken and sandwiches while trained baristas now prepare and serve specialty coffee and pastry items at the newly-installed Starbucks® kiosk. “Kroger is committed to the Toledo region, investing approximately $40 million over the last year in constructing and renovating area stores,” said Kroger’s Columbus Division President Joe Grieshaber. “Our customers continue to reward us with their business, and, in turn, we continue to strive to provide them with the best shopping experience possible.”
