At its regular meeting scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today, Toledo City Council will likely vote on the following legislation: • Ordinance 386-16 authorizing Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson, the Toledo Municipal Court Judges Division, and the Municipal Court Administrator to enter into an agreement with the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office for the provision of court security and warrant enforcement services. The agreement is for three years at a total cost of $5,766,951. • Ordinance 388-16 which would approve $114,690 from the Water Operating Fund to renew its Ohio EPA Public Water System License for the 2017 operation of the Collins Park Water Treatment Facility. The renewal fee is based on the total number of service connections in the City’s distribution system. • Ordinance 390-16 which would accept $24,600 from the Ohio EPA’s Section 319(h) Nonpoint Source Program for the City’s Nine-Element Watershed Plan project. The ordinance also authorizes a $34,600 sub-grant from the City to the University of Toledo for development of the plan. • Ordinance 401-16 which would approve text amendments aimed at addressing parking lots in the city being used as informal storage places for vehicles for sale. The proposed changes were recommended by the Toledo Plan Commission and approved by Council’s Zoning and Planning Committee. Ordinance 397-16, which would close the Erie Street Market Fund and transfer $190,000 remaining in that Fund to the General Fund, will likely be given first reading. The Erie Street Market Fund is no longer needed as the facility was sold to IBC Inc. last year. All Council meetings are held in Council Chambers on the first floor of One Government Center, located on Jackson Boulevard in downtown Toledo.
