At its regular meeting scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today, Toledo City Council will likely vote on the following ordinances regarding services for the Department of Finance’s and Department of Public Utilities’ SAP billing systems: • Ordinance 364-16 which would authorize $403,000 from the Utility Administrative Services Fund for a one-year contract renewal with Utegration, Inc. for post-production support. • Ordinance 365-16 which would authorize $215,000 from the General Fund for a one-year contract extension with Phoenix Business Consulting for application support services. • Ordinance 366-16 which would authorize $1,254,616 from the General Fund and Utility Administrative Services Fund for a three-year contract with IBM Corp. for hosting and application services. Council will also likely vote on legislation regarding eminent domain proceedings for property needed for the Anthony Wayne Trail Gateway Improvement Project, which includes reconstruction and realignment of the roadway from I-75 to Erie Street: • Resolution 377-16 declaring the intention of the City to acquire, jointly with the State of Ohio, property formerly used as the Manhattan Branch of the Miami and Erie Canal between Swan Creek and Washington Street, and a parcel at 61 Lucas Street. The properties are owned by Norfolk Southern Railway, and will also be used as part of the state’s I-75 improvement project. • Ordinance 378-16 proceeding with acquiring at a cost of $97,000 properties owned by Pamela E. O’Connell located at 142 South Erie Street and 29 Vance Street, and a portion of the property at 37 Vance Street. The total land being acquired is roughly 0.16 acres. • Ordinance 379-16 proceeding with acquiring at a cost of $168,200 roughly an acre at 116 South Erie Street from owner TLC Properties, Inc. • Ordinance 380-16 proceeding with acquiring at a cost of $75,200 roughly half an acre at 46 and 48 Vance Street from owner Vance Street Holdings, LLC. Resolution 381-16, which would demonstrate Council’s support for an application to participate in Ohio’s State Capital Improvement and Local Transportation Improvement Programs, will likely be voted on. The resolution would also authorize agreements to obtain funding through the programs, which will be used for the following nine priority infrastructure projects in the City: • Roadway improvements at the Central Avenue/Talmadge Road intersection • Road reconstruction at South Avenue from Reynolds Road to Byrne Road • Road resurfacing at Woodruff Avenue from Collingwood Boulevard to Cherry Street • Road reconstruction at South Detroit Avenue from the Anthony Wayne Trail to Copland Boulevard • Paving at the Anthony Wayne Trail from South Avenue to Glendale Avenue • Paving at Reynolds Road from Glendale Avenue to Angola Road • Paving at South Detroit Avenue from Sherwood Avenue to Glendale Avenue • Jamieson Ditch phase 1 and 2 improvements • Paine and Fassett CSO regulator modifications If awarded, the City’s total costs for the projects could be reduced by $2,550,000.
