Very poor unskilled service. Don't waste your time or money. The owner will always defer whenever someone has a complaint. He will say they have not serviced them or somehow the customer is at fault. I paid the fee the technician took a few screws out of the oven then stated I needed a new safety regulator. He said you can not just reset them. Waited a couple weeks he came back out and said he was able to reset the regulator however I needed new parts now and it was basically cheaper to get a new oven. (Mine is 14 months old) He asked if I had a husband or boyfriend. Very unprofessional.

Sorry about your experience. Unfortunately, your statement COMPLETELY contradicts what our factory technician of 18- years told us. After replacing the control board fuse, he found out the control board was not functioning properly. The complete board needs to be replaced to correct the issue. We find replacing the fuse takes care of the issue 95% of the time, you unfortunately fell into the 5% that needed the control board. We always try to replace the most affordable part first to save our customers money. Many other appliance repair companies just bid the main control board on the first trip to avoid these situations. I responded in the last negative review that you left. Ace charged you $99.00 for both trips and diagnostic on your appliance. If you are not happy with our company, I will refund 100% of the $99.00 that you were charged. Call me on 12-26-23 for a refund on 419-382-6077. Corrie we only diagnosed the problem, and we could not know your control board was bad until we tried the fuse. Ace has over 5,000 five-star reviews online from happy customers. Common sense people look at our 1- star reviews and say is it the customer or Ace that is at fault. They will look at this review and make that determination, is it Ace or Corrie that is unreasonable? That's why 20,000 customers per year call our family owned & operated business back. My dishwasher of 2.5 yrs was not working Ace came out that day was told it needed software update was charged212$ .He left without checking if that fixed the problem it did not. Called he came back out said it needed new pump assembly estimate 320$ plus tax no credit for first visit.I called GE was told part was 105 $ .Not real pleased with the experiance went and bought a new one.

They are way overpriced. They tend to DOUBLE the full retail of OEM parts. When challenged about it, they claim they are accurate. When you go to any appliance parts store or the original manufacturer for replacement parts, you will find they are HALF of what Ace Charges. There are so few options for appliance repair in Toledo, but Ace is not a good choice. Although the service techs are good, the prices they charge leave a lot to be desired.

Hello William, sorry you are not happy with our parts prices. We our very transparent with our prices. We explained that to you up front with a breakdown of parts & labor. You could have declined the repair at that time, you chose to have our technician complete the repair. Then you write two negative reviews on Yelp & Google about our company. Yes, you can purchase the part for half of what Ace charges. Then you have to pay shipping costs and install it yourself. We have shipping costs, handling & receiving costs, two trips to your home and we warranty the parts we install. We are on average 35% less than any other appliance repair company in our area. Ace is transparent and breaks down all charges upfront, NO hidden Fees . All other appliance repair company's are going to a flat rate system like the automotive industry. You get ONE price with no breakdown on parts or labor. If you want to see high prices, call another appliance repair company in our area with the Flat Rate Bluebook pricing. A $30 part you can get online will cost you $525.00 installed, when you ask for a breakdown they will show you this nice little bluebook with prices 35-40% higher than Ace charges every day . Ace will not use this Bluebook because its price gouging. Good luck with your next appliance repair company William.

Scott, we have never been to your home before. You called us and asked us to finish a Central Air that you installed yourself. You told us the unit does not work and you want us to finish the installation of your unit. We politely explained to you we DO NOT install AC units. But evidently the 25 minutes our office staff AND SERVICE MANAGER spent on the phone with you justified a one star review.

After having another local repair service out and spending $300 to no avail, Ace was able to figure out my dishwasher drain issue within about ten minutes- and FIX IT after literally two months without a working dishwasher. Extremely competent professionals.

I'm writing this review specifically to say that Ace Appliance has a clause in its contract that reads: "Your signature on this contract enters you into a non-dispargement agreement with Ace Appliance. "Disparage shall mean any negative statements, reviews, comments or feedback, whether written or verbal.....includ(ing) all written or electronic communication, whether email, text message, posts, use of Yelp, LinkedIn, Facebook....or any other form of social media." Ace claims it has the legal right to recover damages in the amount of $950 if a customer says or writes anything negative about the company. My strong guess is this wouldn't hold up in court...and their service was timely...but I find this clause offensive, extortionary and ultimately anti-American freedom of speech.

Thank you for your input on the non-disparage clause. As you may know, there are always two sides to every review. Sometimes customers use non factual reviews to black male companies like ours for discounts or money back on services performed.Then other times competitors in the same industry will write negative reviews to give their company an edge. These two examples have unfortunately happened to our family owned and operated company . Ace Appliance has been in business for 34 years and we pride ourselves on integrity and honest service practices.
The Non-Disparagement clause on our invoice is there to protect company's like ours, from people or other competitors that write false reviews. We added the non-disparage clause to our disclaimer like thousands of other companies across the country. Honest customers that write factual reviews are not affected. If our company does something wrong, we are obligated to rectify it or deserve to get a one star review. The Non-Disparage clause only protects us from a review that is nonfactual and fabricated. I hope this helps you better understand our new policy.

Our front loader washing machine, after years of reliable service, went crazy on a Tuesday night. The water wouldn't drain. The cycle wouldn't finish. The "Start" button flashed on and off. Then - the door locked and wouldn't open! Called Ace at 7:50 am Wednesday. Service man arrived early, before noon, after calling to say he was on his way. Kraig, the Ace technician, inspires confidence. Not only is he friendly, and pleasant, he immediately diagnosed the problem, and helped bail some water out of the machine. Said he would order the part, and, no, in his opinion we didn't need a new machine. Part arrived Thursday. Kraig arrived early, after calling first, before 10 am, on Friday. The washing machine is repaired! We are happy!! And we got 25% off the bill for being repeat customers!!
