Encompass Mental Health

Encompass Mental Health grew from an idea that employers could benefit from easily-accessed information and training about mental health issues in the workplace.   Noting the significant potential health, lost productivity and liability costs a business can face due to unaddressed mental health issues in its workforce, the company began to develop programs to help employers recognize and remediate them.

Originally created by Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services through a grant from the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, Encompass training programs provide web-based instruction to help employers, HR professionals and others become more aware of potential workplace mental health issues in order to take corrective action to minimize the costs associated with them.

One of the company’s leading training programs is Mental Health and the EEOC - Costly Mistakes Employers Can Avoid.  In light of recent changes to ADA regulations that expand the definition of Major Life Activities, employers are now at greater risk of being charged by the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) for mental impairment discrimination. Mental Health and the EEOC - Costly Mistakes Employers Can Avoid offers information on how these amendments to the ADA could impact business and how to avoid disability discrimination charges.

Encompass Mental Health is offering Mental Health and the EEOC - Costly Mistakes Employers Can Avoid for Toledo-area businesses on  Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. Usually a $95 course, Encompass is offering this 90 minute course for $75 to Toledo businesses that register by September 25, 2014.
