Event Description: Each year BGSU’s Literacy in the Park project celebrates and explores the roles literacy plays in our lives by welcoming children and their families from across Ohio and beyond. This pre-kindergarten through 12th grade event will have hands-on literacy centers to incite curiosity. Come join us for some free educational fun! Additionally, we spotlight the work of a children’s author who embodies the spirit of literacy we want to share with our community. This year’s featured author, Patricia Polacco, has written and illustrated over 115 picture books. Patricia will share her stories twice during the event.
